Make sure all parts and bolts are tight on the boat trailer.

Secure load to trailer. Check tilt and down mechanisms – Use extra rope as a safety measure.

Check tire pressure when tire is cold. We suggest taking this precaution for a better boat towing experience regardless of weather conditions.

Repack wheels bearings once a year, preferably in the Fall before storing trailer.

Make sure you are not exceeding boat trailer or trailer capacity.

Make sure coupler is securely latched to the hitch ball. Check each time you stop and leave trailer.

Make sure cross safety chains are under trailer tongue and secure to towing vehicle.

Make sure boat trailer electrical is working properly and all lights are working.

If using a breaking system make sure to check that its working properly.

Make sure the trailer jack is raised to its highest position.

Make sure all gates and latches are secured.

There are 3 positions on the front winch: Forward, reverse and neutral (Some only have forward and reverse). Make sure it is in the forward locked position when driving.

We strongly suggest that you strap down the rear end of your boat. Use the eye hooks on the stern of your boat and strap them down to your trailer to reduce bounding on the road.

Remember your car or truck is now 15’-50’ longer than it was before. When towing, we strongly recommend driving no faster than 55 MPH and TAKE YOUR TIME when switching lanes. Learn how to use reverse and take your turns very wide.
